One home, one tree

Our studio was commissioned by Epique Realty to create Arbres Project, an environmental initiative that plants one real tree for every home sold through the brokerage while introducing a gamified digital layer that lets participants explore their collective impact in a living virtual forest. The name “Arbres” (French for “trees”) immediately set the tone: elegant, timeless, and quietly purposeful. We were tasked with building a complete brand identity and a lightweight yet immersive web-based virtual world that would make the act of planting feel personal, shareable, and addictive. This transforms a traditional CSR program into an emotional ownership experience clients and agents would proudly talk about.

From the start, we anchored the identity in restrained natural luxury. The primary mark is a geometric tree icon that subtly doubles as a growth chart when animated. Its branches extend with each new tree planted. The palette draws directly from temperate forests: deep pine green, fogged moss, sun-bleached kraft, and warm cedar brown, with off-white and soft sage accents for breathing room. Typography pairs a refined, slightly flared serif (Echo Park) for headlines with a clean grotesque sans (Obviously) for interface and body text, creating a balance of heritage and approachability. Secondary assets include die-cut stickers, subtle pattern overlays of scattered tree icons, and a flexible illustration system that scales from minimal line icons to lush, atmospheric forest photography. Every element was designed to feel premium without ever looking corporate-greenwashed.

The digital experience became the heart of the project: a browser-based 3D forest users can enter after each closing. Agents and buyers receive a unique access link where they can walk (or fly) through a procedurally enhanced forest and locate “their” tree. Each tree is tagged with the property address, closing date, and a short personal note. Real-time growth mechanics show saplings maturing as the brokerage hits milestones, seasonal cycles change the environment, and subtle gamification (leaderboards for top-producing agents, shareable tree “postcards,” and hidden clearings unlocked at certain planting thresholds) keeps engagement high. The interface remains deliberately lightweight. There are no downloads, no avatars, just serene exploration. It works seamlessly on phones during closing celebrations or on desktop when clients want to show family the tree they helped plant.

Since launch, Arbres Project has turned a standard giving program into a genuine point of differentiation for Epique Realty. Clients routinely mention the virtual forest in testimonials, agents close deals by promising “your tree in our forest,” and social shares of personalized tree locations have driven organic reach far beyond paid marketing. The identity and experience together communicate that sustainability here is not a side note. It is woven into the joy of homeownership. This project demonstrates our studio’s ability to fuse meaningful environmental impact with elegant, emotionally resonant branding and frictionless digital craft.
